[18] The 5th Metrology for Meteorology and Climate – MMC 2025 international conference, which included a Soil Moisture Session, was held in Vienna, Austria, from 24 to 26 June 2025. Several presentations reported on the progress achieved with the SoMMet project.

[17] The 2025 General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) took place from 27 April to 2 May 2025 in Vienna, Austria. Several presentations reported on the progress achieved with the SoMMet project.

[16] The 2025 Annual Meeting of the EURADOS (European Radiation Dosimetry Group) network took place from 24 to 27 February 2025 in Bucharest, Romania. We presented the project SoMMet's results and status update there.

[15] The 2024 Annual Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) took place on 9–13 December 2024 in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. with the theme "What’s Next for Science". Our consortium members contributed to this event with the topic "Comparison of Harmonization Methods of Soil Moisture Observations Across Multiple Spatial and Temporal Scales".

[14] The 2024 IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for Agriculture and Forestry (MetroAgriFor 2024) was held on 29–31 October 2024 in Padova, Italy. Members of our consortium presented the SoMMet project and their work on the use of remotely sensed soil moisture products to improve the monitoring of hydrological processes in agricultural management.

[13] The 7th International COSMOS Workhop (COSMOS7) was held on 24–26 September 2024 in Hillsborough, Northern Ireland. The workshop brought together experts and end-users of the COSMOS (COsmic-ray Soil Moisture Observing System) networks around the world, with the overall theme "From Research to Operations". The SoMMet project and the work being done to harmonise soil moisture measurements was presented.

[12] The International Conference on Applied Nuclear Physics 2024 (ANP2024) was held on 23–27 September 2024 in Thessaloniki, Greece. We promoted the SoMMet project and presented an update on the characterisation of CRNS systems in neutron metrology laboratories.

[11] The XXIV World Congress of IMEKO, the International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO 2024) took place on 26–29 August 2024 in Hamburg, Germany. An overview of the SoMMet project and developments in SI-traceable point-scale soil water content measurement were presented.

[10] The event Week of Environment (in German "Woche der Umwelt"), jointly organised by the Office of the Federal President of Germany Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the German Federal Environmental Foundation DBU ("Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt"), was held on 4–5 June 2024 in Berlin, Germany. The project SoMMet was presented there under the motto Cosmic support for terrestrial soil moisture measurements ("Kosmische Hilfe für irdische Bodenfeuchtemessungen"), and the CRNS methodology as well as point-scale soil moisture measurement were demonstrated to broad public.

[9] The 2024 General Assembly of the EGU (European Geosciences Union) took place on 14–19 April 2024 in Vienna, Austria. The SoMMet project was presented there within the session HS6.1 Remote Sensing of Soil Moisture. Moreover, there was a splinter meeting specifically dedicated to the topic of traceability of soil moisture measurements which is one of the SoMMet's main objectives. The splinter meeting was called: In situ soil moisture: What are the errors sources, and how can we derive a traceable uncertainty budget?

[8] The 2024 Spring Meeting (in German DPG-Frühjahrstagung 2024) of the German Physical Society DPG ("Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft") was held in Greifswald, Germany on 26–29 February 2024. The SoMMet project was presented within the Professional association Environmental Physics (Fachverband Umweltphysik).

[7] The 4th Metrology for Meteorology and Climate – MMC 2023 international conference was held in Torino, Italy on 25–29 September 2023 with a session devoted to needs for metrology in soil moisture measurements (SoMMet and other projects).

[6] The 2nd TERENO–OZCAR Conference was held in Bonn, Germany on 25–28 September 2023. It is a joint conference of the French OZCAR (Critical Zone Observatories: Research and Application) and German TERENO (Terrestrial Environmental Observatories) networks. The project SoMMet was presented there.

[5] The 14th International Conference on Agrophysics – ICA2023 was held in Lublin, Poland on 11–13 September 2023. The progress done in the SoMMet project was presented there.

[4] The 8th Galileo Conference of the EGU (European Geosciences Union) was held in Naples, Italy on 12–15 June 2023, with the overall topic "A European vision for hydrological observations and experimentation". The SoMMet project was presented there.
