Visit to the Bondeno test field site

Following the M18 project progress meeting in Bologna, the SoMMet partners visited the Bondeno test field site on 23 February 2024.

Bondeno was one of the three outdoor test field sites used in SoMMet. The site is located on a farm with walnut orchards and a controlled drip-irrigation system. During the project, a cosmic-ray neutron sensing (CRNS) instrument and a network of point-scale soil moisture sensors were deployed there, enabling the measurement methods to be compared under agricultural field conditions.
